About Bellwood

Bellwood is a small village located within the Proviso Township in Cook County. The entire community encompasses a total area of about 2.4 square miles, bounded by the Eisenhower Expressway to its south, and the Proviso yards of the Union Pacific Railroad to its north. The suburbs of Maywood, Hillside, and Berkeley border the village’s other outer ends. Today, Bellwood is well recognized as a pleasant, residential village boasting a mostly calm atmosphere, many parks, and a variety of family-owned restaurants.
